The Competents

This band was formed in 1992 with Jim Cahoon (drums), Rob Robleto (keyboard, guitar and vocals), Nathan Thompson (bass), and David George (lead vocals). Steve Hanson (guitar & vocals) made a guest appearance at the only performace of the band at the Red Lion on South Main in Houston. The Red Lion closed shortly thereafter. We maintain that this was purely coincidental. The set list included a mix of original songs and covers - many of the original songs were from the Benjamin Barrett's Barbecue Band days.
